FRIDAY, APRIL 21

DAY 1 / JOURNEY TO THE GREEN NATURE AND VILLAGES OF KOS:

DIKEOS MOUNT, ZIA VILLAGE, PLATANI VILLAGE, TIGKAKI SALT LAKE

After meeting at Bodrum Harbor at 08:30 in the morning, we start our tour for the Five Islands Tour. When we reach Bodrum, we complete our customs procedures and start the blue cruise in the Aegean Sea towards Kos, one of the most visited islands in the South Aegean. After completing our customs procedures in Kos, the birthplace of the father of medicine, Hippocrates, we reach in the most beautiful hours of the morning, we take our places on the bus to get to know the island center. During this pleasant tour, we first see the Historical Kos Castle (Kastro Neretzias), which greets us as we approach the Port of Kos. During our tour, we see the Police Station, the famous Statue of Hippocrates, the Church of the Virgin Mary, the old hospital and school buildings of Kos, and the Kos Marina in panoramic view. After completing the Kos Island Central Tour, where we had the opportunity to get to know the most must-see places, historical buildings and culture of Kos with our vehicle, we continue our journey for the "Kos Island Discovery Tour" with our guests. First of all, we take a break at the Tigkaki Beach, which is one of the most touristic areas of the island and hosts the most beautiful beaches of Kos, and drink our pleasure coffee. Afterwards, we visit a vineyard where the famous wines of Kos are made, and have the chance to taste the cellars. After moments of pleasure, we continue our journey towards Zia Village at the foot of Dikeos Mountain. During this journey, we watch the Kalymnos and Pserimos Islands, and the only lake of the island, the Salt Lake on the Tigkaki Coast. When we reach Zia, we get the chance to buy local products unique to Kos Island during our tour in the village bazaar where traditional products are sold. Afterwards, we take our places in a village restaurant with a view to have a pleasant lunch consisting of traditional tastes of Greek cuisine, which should be eaten in Kos Island. In the afternoon, we go to the Platani Village or Kerme, a period when Kos Turks lived intensely, and we are the guests of a local market where products specific to Kos Island and Greece, from wine to cheese, honey to jam, are sold. After a pleasant day, in the evening, we visit one of the most beautiful taverns of Kos Island to experience Kos Night with our guests and have our dinner.

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 22

DAY 2 / YOU WILL DISCOVER THE MAGIC ISLAND NISYROS!

NISYROS ISLAND – MANDRAKI PORT – NIKIA VILLAGE – NISYROS VOLCANY – STEFANOS CRATER – MANDRAKI HOUSES – KARDAMENA BEACH

After the open buffet breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we take our seats in our bus to go to the magical Nisyros Island, one of the most beautiful islands of the Aegean Sea. We start our journey towards Kardamena, the most beautiful seaside town of Kos Island, to board the ferry that will take us to Nisyros. After an hour-long sea voyage, we arrive at the Mandraki Harbor of Nisyros, an ancient volcano island located between Kos and Tilos and surrounded by many small islands (Gyali, Agios Antonios, Pachia, Stroggili and Pergoussa). Their beautiful square-plan houses, St. In Mandraki, which welcomes us with the Castle of the Knights of Jean and the Monastery of Panagia Spilliani, we go to the crater of the volcano, which was shaped 150,000 years ago, in the heart of the island. After getting to know the Stefanos Volcano Crater, which is still warm today and the largest in Europe, we visit Nikia Village, the most beautiful village of Nisyros, a fairy tale village among the fig trees that gave the island the name İncirli during the Ottoman period. In Nikia Village with its white houses, streets with bougainvillea and charming people, we feel like time has stopped, and we get the chance to watch and photograph the volcano from afar once again. At noon, we go to Mandraki, the center of Nisyros, where about 1000 people live, and have an unforgettable lunch with island-specific flavors that must be eaten in Nisyros. After lunch, we have the chance to take a stroll through the streets of Mandraki in the free time given to us by our guide, and buy the island-specific bitter almond liqueur called Soumada and souvenirs. At the end of the day, we say goodbye to the magical island of Nisyros and start our return journey towards Kardamena Harbor. Then we take our places in the bus that will take us to Kos and return to our hotel in the center of Kos island.

SUNDAY, APRIL 23

DAY 3 / BLUE JOURNEY TO THREE BEAUTIFUL ISLANDS: KALYMNOS – PSERIMOS and PLATI

After having breakfast at our hotel, we take our places on the excursion boat for our Kalymnos, Pserimos and Plati Islands tour to get to know the three beautiful Aegean islands neighboring Kos and cool off in the deep blue waters. We get to know the beautiful Kalymnos houses in Pothia and get important information about sponge diving on the sponge island of Kalymnos, which we reach with Bodrum views. During our break on Pserimos Island, the most beautiful island of the Aegean Sea, where only about 15 families live, we not only enjoy swimming at the unique beach of Pserimos, but also drink our refreshing frappes in one of the taverns by the sea and take pleasant walks in the streets of the island. After taking breaks in many bays with beautiful views, our boat stops the engines in the incredibly clear waters of Plati Island and we enjoy swimming among the fishes. At the end of the day, we complete our blue voyage, where we get to know three beautiful islands, and anchor towards Kos. When we reach Kos, after three full days spent in Kos, Nisyros, Kalymnos, Pserimos and Plati Island, we say goodbye to the islands and take our places on the ferry that will take us to Bodrum. When we reach Bodrum Port, after doing our duty free shopping for a short time, we start our return journey to İzmir with our bus waiting for us. We say goodbye to Izmir, which we reached in the evening, with the hope of meeting again on another FMA TRAVEL tour.
